Tatuaje announced a new limited edition cigar for members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America during the organization’s recent meeting. The Tatuaje TAA 2027 is scheduled to arrive in January. It is a box pressed cigar measuring 5 5/8" x 54 that includes a covered foot. The blend features a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos. Production is capped at 3,000 boxes of 20 cigars each, for a total of 60,000 cigars. Pricing is set at $16 per cigar, or $320 for a full box.
This release serves as an homage to the first Tatuaje TAA cigar from 2011, which used the same vitola and blend. Tatuaje produced an annual TAA exclusive from 2011 through 2023 before taking a break. The new cigar continues the tradition of manufacturers contributing to the organization through the TAA Exclusive Series Program. Cigars are made at My Father Cigars S.A. in Nicaragua. According to reporting from Halfwheel, the move marks a return to a popular program after the recent hiatus.
