Powstanie has begun shipping SBC 26, the latest installment of its Surrounded by Champions limited series, which the company first showed at the 2026 PCA Convention & Trade Show. The cigar keeps the series’ 5 1/2” x 46 corona gorda format and offset barber pole wrapper. Production totals 10,000 cigars, packed in 500 boxes of 20, with pricing set at $18 per cigar or $360 per box.
The blend draws on tobacco from five countries. Two wrappers, an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed leaf and a Mexican San Andrés leaf, are wound over a Brazilian mata fina binder. The filler pairs a ligero piloto mejorado from Navarrete in the Dominican Republic, grown by Leo Reyes, with three Nicaraguan tobaccos from Condega, the San Nicolas farm in Estelí, and a 2021 Pueblo Nuevo ligero. It is the first time Powstanie has disclosed Dominican tobacco in an SBC blend. The cigars are again rolled at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. in Nicaragua.
Brothers Greg and Mike Szczepankewicz launched the SBC series in 2016 as a tribute to the people who helped build Powstanie, and each box lid carries a printed message honoring that team. National sales manager Mike Palmer described SBC 26 as a passion project for Greg Szczepankewicz. According to reporting from Halfwheel, the 10,000-cigar run matches SBC 22 and SBC 24, while the earlier SBC 16, 18 and 20 releases were limited to 5,000 cigars each.
