Lampert Limitada 2026 Toro Cigar Review

Lampert Cigars was founded in 2017 by Dr. Stefan Lampert, an attorney whose family name traces back to Triesen, Liechtenstein, and the company now has cigars made in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Its Limitada Series began in 2022 as an exclusive for the company's top retailers and has since become an annual release, with each edition using its own blend. The Limitada 2026 is a 6 x 54 box-pressed toro made at Tabacos de Costa Rica, using an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper over a Habano 2000 binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Nicaragua. It began shipping to retailers on August 10, 2026, in 10-count boxes priced at $19.50 per cigar, or $195 per box, and Lampert has not disclosed how many were made.

Review

First Third

Soft nutty spice on the start, with some dry cream notes coming through on the finish and pepper on the retro. The cap of the cigar is very soft on the lips, almost has a velvet feel, and is somewhat spongy, even though the cigar was at 65 percent humidity internally before I lit it. Woody spice continues with just a little bit of salinity on the finish. Creamy woody notes continue to come through with a very, very slight vanilla or cinnamon spice. Good amount of creamy notes on the finish.

Second Third

A damp hay note or a damp woody note is coming through in the second third, still with continued cream and pepper on the finish. Cedar is starting to come out more prominently in the second third, with some light creamy notes and pepper on the finish. Sweetness is starting to come out with the cedar, creating a very nice sweet cedar note on the palate with cream and pepper on the finish. The creamy note has been building during the second third, with very faint roasted coffee notes coming through, along with the sweet cedar on the palate and finish. The sweet cedar note continues to come out in the second third, with woody spiced cream notes on the finish. Also a very faint, light citrus note is coming out on the finish as well.

Final Third

The damp woody note is growing coming into the final third, still with some creamy pepper notes on the finish. Almost getting a sort of savory spice note on the finish as well. In the final third, still lots of cream and cedar notes, with a cinnamon spice and creamy pepper on the finish. An earthiness is coming through in the final third, adding itself to the cream and pepper, with a hint of leather on the finish. Getting a very slight graham cracker note on the extended finish, along with cream and pepper. A smoky woody note is coming out with the cedar and creamy notes on the finish.
