Micallef Orange Ships Nationwide

Micallef Cigars has completed the national launch of Orange, the seventh cigar in its Color Series. After a soft launch last week at Two Guys Cigars in New Hampshire, the company began shipping to retailers across the United States on August 31, with boxes expected on shelves by September 5.

We first covered the announcement in mid-August, when Micallef revealed the blend, pricing, and exclusive retail strategy. That earlier report laid out the core details that still define the release. The Color Series now includes Black, Blue, Green, Purple, Red, White, and Orange. Each blend is offered in the same two national sizes at the same price points: a 5 x 52 Robusto at $8 and a 6 x 52 Toro at $9, both in 25-count boxes.

Orange uses a Connecticut-seed wrapper (origin undisclosed) over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The company rates it medium-bodied. Founder Al Micallef and President Dan Thompson have emphasized the same positioning they apply to the rest of the line: premium tobacco at accessible prices that also protect retailer margins. “Orange puts world class tobacco in a working man’s hand,” Thompson said at the time of the announcement. Micallef added that the blend “had to earn its place in the Color Series, and it did.

The cigars are produced at Micallef’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Like the rest of the Color Series, they are sold exclusively through family-owned brick-and-mortar retailers and those shops’ online stores. Two Guys Cigars received the first boxes and hosted launch events; the chain already carries several Color Series exclusives in additional sizes.

Orange is the second Color Series addition of 2026 after White arrived in February. Both use Connecticut-seed wrappers, giving the line a pair of milder, lighter-wrapped options alongside the darker, fuller blends that came earlier. The consistent vitolas and pricing across all seven colors remain a deliberate part of the strategy.

Retailers who carry the Color Series should now have Orange in stock or arriving this week. For the original announcement and blend details, see our earlier post: Micallef Adds Orange to Color Series.

The Color Series continues to function as Micallef’s most accessible regular-production line, built around simple naming, uniform pricing, and a focus on independent shops. Orange completes the current palette.
