Quesada Oktoberfest 2026 Ships
Quesada Cigars has begun shipping its 2026 Oktoberfest release, marking 15 years since the line debuted in 2011. Boxes started leaving the factory on August 31 and are now reaching U.S. retailers.
The company is using the same five vitolas offered in 2025: Bavarian (5 1/2 x 52) at $13.25, Kaiser Ludwig (6 x 49) at $14, Das Boot (6 x 52) at $14.25, Über (6 x 65) at $15, and Salomon Press (6 3/4 x 50/33) at $14.50. Each size is limited to 500 boxes of 10 cigars for the U.S. market, with additional allocation going to international distribution. Prices are up $1–$3.50 per cigar from last year.
The blend is a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican fillers. That recipe has been in place since the 2021 release, when Quesada marked 10 years of the line by moving off the original Dominican puro formula used from 2011 onward. The cigars are made at Tabacos de Exportación (TABADEX) in the Dominican Republic and are blended to pair with Märzen-style beer, the beer traditionally served at Munich's Oktoberfest.
The line has been released every year since 2011 with two exceptions: 2018 and 2020, before returning for its 10th-anniversary edition in 2021. Core sizes Bavarian, Das Boot, and Über appear most years. Kaiser Ludwig and the Salomon Press, a double perfecto with an aggressive box press in the center, rotate in and out. The 2026 mix repeats the 2025 lineup.
Quesada is a family company based in Santiago. The family's roots in the cigar trade trace back to Cuba in the late 1800s; the company relocated to the Dominican Republic in 1929 while remaining based in Havana until the 1960s, and founded Manufactura de Tabacos, S.A. (MATASA) in Santiago in 1974. Manuel "Manolo" Quesada Jr. and his immediate family own the company today, and the business is run with the involvement of the fifth generation, including his daughters Raquel and Patricia Quesada. Patricia called Oktoberfest one of the first blends developed with fifth-generation involvement.
"Reaching 15 years with Oktoberfest is especially meaningful for us," she said. "It's one of the first blends developed with the involvement of the fifth generation of the Quesada family, which makes this release particularly special as we look both at where we started and where we are."
This is the last year the line uses its current packaging. The 2027 edition will get a full redesign that incorporates the updated Quesada logo shown at the 2026 PCA trade show.
Oktoberfest remains an annual limited release timed for the fall festival season. The 2026 cigars are arriving now at shops that carry Quesada.
