LA Cigar Collective Releases Kelner Made Le Flambeaux Exclusive

LA Cigar Collective is releasing Le Flambeaux, a shop exclusive blended by Klaas Kelner and rolled at his family’s factory, Kelner Cigars S.A.S., in Santiago, Dominican Republic. That is not the old Davidoff Tabadom plant. It is the boutique factory Klaas uses for Kelner branded cigars. Trade sites posted the news on August 26 and August 28, 2026. The shop previewed the project on July 31.

LA Cigar Collective is a cigar shop and lounge at 3807 Airline Drive in Metairie, Louisiana, outside New Orleans. The LA stands for Louisiana. Owner Kyle Salzer grew it out of an online group called LA Aficionados and opened the storefront around 2024. Manager Big Rob works the floor. They sell mainstream and boutique cigars, run a walk in humidor, post weekly arrival videos, and offer a monthly subscription called the Collective Pack. House exclusives are part of the model. Earlier ones included Gris Gris. Le Flambeaux is the third project with Kelner Family Cigars.

The cigar is a 6 1/2 x 55 gran toro. The shop asked Kelner for a stronger smoke than the milder, complex blends he is known for. He used a Mexican San Andres wrapper and a Dominican filler listed at about 60 percent ligero. Production is 10,000 cigars.

The name Le Flambeaux, means torch. The idea was to push Kelner off his usual profile and see whether the extra ligero and San Andres wrapper would hold on a long gran toro. Kelner blended it. His Santiago factory made it. LA Cigar Collective is selling it.
