Aganorsa Leaf Rare Leaf Corojo
The Rare Leaf Reserve line uses specially selected tobacco lots from Aganorsa’s best farms. It is a Nicaraguan puro featuring a Jalapa Corojo wrapper, dual Criollo 98 binders, and a filler blend of Criollo 98 and Corojo 99. The Rare Leaf Lonsdale is a 6 x 44 vitola offered in boxes of 15.

Review
First Third
Toasted marshmallow appears on the light, followed by sweet cedar and a touch of chocolate. The retrohale delivers plenty of pepper with spicy mocha notes. Graham cracker, pepper, and creamy coffee develop, joined by smoky wood and a light sweetness. Near the end of the third, earthy notes emerge. The combination of marshmallow and graham cracker creates a s’mores-like quality, finishing with chocolate and pepper. More chocolate notes and pepper, with the marshmallow notes getting softer since the first light. Some pepper on the finish. Some nutty notes starting to come thru as well. Pepper on the palate and finish. Some sweetness, but nothing major. The sweetness sort of ebbs and flows, making some puffs sweeter than others.
Second Third
Salted peanut enters and mixes with the graham cracker, chocolate, and pepper. Salt lingers on the finish alongside coffee. A slight cakey note appears. Pepper strengthens and pairs with black coffee and mild nuttiness. Chocolate and graham cracker return behind the pepper, though with less of the earlier sweetness. Some more pepper coming thru on the second third. Some of the sweetness from before has dissipated, some nutty coffee notes on the finish with the pepper. Great burn and great fine white ash. More salted peanuts and dark chocolate notes, growing pepper on the finish. Starting to notice the strength. More coffee or espresso notes on the finish as well. Some earthy notes with espresso and pepper, pepper on the finish.
Final Third
A light creaminess develops with nutty pepper and wood on the finish. One minor touch-up was needed on the burn. Woody notes are starting to become more dominant with a pepper finish. Cedar becomes more prominent while pepper remains strong. Coffee notes continue on the finish. Strength increases steadily through the final third. The cigar closes with dominant cedar as most of the earlier flavors fade. Noticing the smoke heat up some in the last third, flavor profile has sort of flattened, cedar and pepper on the finish. Reaching full strength for sure at the end of the cigar. Continued cedar and pepper, sort of a boring last third considering how flavorful the first two thirds were. Full strength, hot smoke.
