LaVega Adds Box Pressed Versions of Its Core Lines

LaVega Cigar Co. is releasing box pressed versions of its core blends this fall. Founder Aaron Paoletta is introducing the new formats instead of a limited edition cigar.Paoletta founded LaVega Cigar Co. after previously working as a chef in Las Vegas, performing as a musician, and operating a record label. He later returned to his hometown of Mercer, Pennsylvania, where he opened a mobile cigar lounge called LaVega, a name taken from Las Vegas. The brand’s cigars are produced at Tabacalera Las Lavas in the Dominican Republic. Paoletta also operates the LaVega Lounge in Mercer, Pennsylvania. The company will release box pressed robustos and toros in four core lines: Il Primo, Il Secondo, Il Terzo, and No. 40.

The first product is a four cigar sampler called I Quattro Originali. It contains one box pressed 5 x 52 robusto from each of the four blends and is priced at $35.99. The sampler will be available on September 17 at Living My Best Cigar Life in Moundsville, West Virginia, and at the LaVega Lounge in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Shipping to other retailers begins September 24.

On October 1, LaVega will release five packs of a box pressed 6 x 52 toro in the same four blends. Each five pack is priced at $60.The box pressed 6 x 52 toro is a larger ring gauge than the company’s existing round 6 x 50 toro. The blends remain unchanged.
