Rojas Cigars is releasing a new limited edition in its Street Tacos line this month called Mictlán to honor Día de los Muertos.
The cigar is a 6 by 52 box pressed toro featuring a dark Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder. The filler combines Nicaraguan tobacco with Connecticut broadleaf grown in the United States. The company describes the blend as medium to full bodied. Production takes place at the Rojas factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
Each cigar carries an MSRP of $12.50, with boxes of 20 priced at $250. Only 1,500 boxes are being made for a total of 30,000 cigars.
Mictlán means place of the dead in the Nahuatl language and refers to the underworld in Aztec belief where most souls traveled after death. Rojas notes that the release pays tribute to Mexico’s ancestral heritage and its traditions of honoring those who have passed.
The Street Tacos series first appeared in November 2020 and has expanded with several additions since then. This Mictlán edition is planned for release on October 20, 2026.
