First Third

Nutty coffee opens on the light with great flavor. A touch of pepper and some floral notes accompany plentiful thick smoke. As the first third progresses, the pepper builds slightly while a subtle caramel sweetness appears in the aroma. Honey and coffee notes are especially enjoyable, joined by mild pepper and nuttiness. Pepper and coffee show clearly on the retrohale. The burn required a minor touch-up early on, followed by a larger correction toward the end of the third. On the palate, coffee, honey, almond, and pepper remain consistent, with pepper lingering on the finish.

Second Third

Honey begins to recede as pepper increases and a damp woody note emerges, gradually shifting toward cedar. Nuttiness also becomes more noticeable. White pepper marks a long finish, while some floral sweetness returns. The aroma gains additional sweetness and becomes more enjoyable than at the start. Thick smoke continues to enhance the experience. Coffee and a hint of grass appear on the finish alongside white pepper. Burn remains uneven and may need another touch-up soon. As the second third concludes, coffee, nuts, and white pepper sit on the palate. The finish is clean but shorter than before.

Final Third

Some of the original honey notes return, accompanied by increased pepper. Smoke production stays strong, and the aroma is excellent—evoking chocolate and cedar. Coffee joins the aroma, with more pepper on the finish. Unfortunately, significant tunneling develops in the final third, delivering a few puffs of unpleasant flavors. After a relight the taste improves somewhat, bringing back nuttiness and coffee, but burn and tunneling issues persist. The cigar is nearing its end under these conditions. Overall despite the construction challenges (multiple touch-ups and late tunneling), the core flavors of coffee, honey, nuts, pepper, and evolving woody/cedar notes provided an enjoyable smoke with thick output and an inviting aroma. I look forward to trying this one again to see if better construction yields a more consistent experience.
