First Third

Mid First Third: As the cigar settles in, the earthy and nutty profile remains at the forefront. The pepper on the retrohale begins to fade, allowing a naturally sweet, nutty aroma to shine through. The creamy smoke texture and balanced finish continue to impress, making for a very enjoyable smoking experience.
End of the First Third: Sweet cream begins to emerge on the palate, blending beautifully with the core nuttiness and earthy flavors. Pepper has become nearly nonexistent, creating an exceptionally smooth profile. The smoke remains thick and creamy, and the ash holds firm before dropping cleanly at the transition into the second third.
Second Third
Beginning: A light cedar note joins the profile, accompanied by a gentle touch of pepper. Sweet cream remains a dominant flavor, while the aroma carries a pleasant sweetness. Light coffee notes begin to develop, adding another layer of complexity. The smoke texture stays thick and consistent, with the finish gradually becoming slightly longer.
Mid Second Third: Pepper occasionally makes a return, though it is always balanced by the familiar nutty earth established early in the smoke. The sweet aroma continues to enhance the overall experience, making each draw enjoyable and well-rounded.
End of the Second Third: Creamy smoke continues to define the experience, while nuttiness becomes more pronounced alongside richer coffee notes. The retrohale is especially enjoyable, showcasing additional coffee flavors, and the room aroma remains sweet and inviting.
Final Third
Beginning: Sweet cream and nuttiness continue on the palate, while the retrohale introduces a unique sweet pepper note. (Mint chocolate to some palates.) Distinct chocolate flavors begin to emerge, and the aroma becomes even sweeter. Cedar and pepper provide additional complexity, while every draw produces dense, satisfying smoke. The finish is now smooth with a medium-long duration.
Mid Final Third: Cedar becomes more prominent, supported by the cigar's signature nuttiness. Pepper lingers on the finish, which alternates between peppery spice and silky smoothness. Whether this reflects increasing complexity or slight inconsistency is left to the smoker's interpretation.
Final Inches: Approaching the nub, some of the earlier flavors begin to soften in intensity. Cedar and nuttiness remain the foundation, joined by coffee and a mildly peppery retrohale. Just before the finish, a welcome resurgence of sweetness and coffee appears, while the retrohale carries a final peppery kick. The aroma loses some of its earlier sweetness but remains pleasant through the final puff.
Overall Impression
This cigar delivered a consistently enjoyable experience built around a core profile of earth, nuttiness, and sweet cream. As the smoke progressed, layers of cedar, coffee, chocolate, and intermittent pepper added complexity without overwhelming the palate. The creamy, dense smoke texture was a standout feature from beginning to end, complemented by an increasingly long and satisfying finish. Excellent construction, a clean ash, an outstanding retrohale, and a sweet aroma made this a highly rewarding smoking experience from first light to the final draw.
