Los Amigos Cigars Makes United States Debut Through Domain Distribution
Los Amigos Cigars is arriving in American humidors after two years as a small house known mainly in South Africa and Chile. The brand was founded in 2024 by Walter Saes of Brazil, Eduardo Lahsen of Chile, and Pedro Ramos of South Africa. Its path into the United States is Domain Distribution, a new wholesale company launched by the Domain Cigars group.
Domain Distribution exists for brands that produce at Tabacalera Familia Disla S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, the same factory behind Domain Cigars and Pariah Cigars. Los Amigos is the first outside client. Based in Kansas City, Kansas, the new arm will take on wholesale orders, fulfillment, retailer support, invoicing, payment collection, and settlement back to the brand. A retailer platform for inventory and analytics is planned. Domain says it will not take brands made at other factories because its systems are built around this plant.
The three founders came to cigars from different corners of the same hobby. Saes won the Habanosommelier world contest in Cuba in 2015. Lahsen has smoked for more than twenty five years and represents the brand in Spanish. Ramos learned the business with his father, imported New World cigars into South Africa, and later opened a lounge and online shop. They chose Nicaragua after touring many factories, in part because that is where their friendship began.
Four 2025 small batch cigars are now open for United States retailers to order. Each box holds twenty and is stamped with the production year. The company says no leaf in the blends is younger than three years.
-Epiphany is a 5 x 50 robusto with an Ecuador habano wrapper, Indonesian Besuki binder, and filler of Dominican ligero from Navarrete plus Nicaraguan viso from Jalapa and Pueblo Nuevo and seco from Condega. Medium body with bright sweetness and earth. About $12.99.
-The Sacred Blend is a 5 x 56 grand robusto with the same wrapper and binder idea and filler that adds Condega ligero and seco plus viso from Ometepe. Medium body with spice, honey, cedar, and a creamy close. About $13.99.
-Legacy of the Leaf is a 4 1/2 x 60 box pressed short gordo with Mexican San Andrés over all Nicaraguan filler from Estelí, Condega, and Pueblo Nuevo. It is the fullest cigar in the set, with earth, pepper, leather, chocolate, and espresso. About $14.49.
-Hedonism is a 6 x 52 toro with Connecticut broadleaf, a Condega binder, and filler that includes Pennsylvania broadleaf ligero, Dominican ligero from Navarrete, and Estelí viso and seco. Dark sweetness, molasses, and dried fruit. About $16.49.
Los Amigos already sells in South Africa and Chile and is working on Brazil. American shops can order the four cigars through Domain Distribution now.
