La Aurora Rolls Out New Affordable Santiago Line

La Aurora has introduced a new lower cost range designed for frequent smokers and those seeking good value. Named the Santiago Collection, the lineup opens with a Maduro expression that reaches retailers in August. A Connecticut expression arrives the following month.

These cigars employ a blend of longer and shorter filler leaves rather than the full long filler used in the company’s premium offerings. The Maduro carries an Indonesian maduro outer leaf, an Indonesian binder, and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobacco. The Connecticut version replaces the outer leaf with Ecuadorian Connecticut seed while retaining the same binder and filler.

Two formats are offered at these prices:

Robusto measuring 5 by 50 at $2.50 each or $50 for twenty
Toro measuring 6 by 54 at $3 each or $60 for twenty

Manuel Inoa, the brand’s master blender, described the effort required to ensure even burning and draw throughout the mixed filler construction. In a press release he emphasized the aim of delivering familiar coffee and wood character so that newer enthusiasts can try La Aurora without feeling they have settled for less.

As costs continue to rise across the cigar business, many long established makers are adding approachable options that still deliver recognizable quality. The Santiago series follows that path by giving both newcomers and regular smokers a more affordable way to enjoy the La Aurora name.

The cigars become available in U.S. shops starting August 2026.
