Casa Carrillo to Begin Shipping Pledge of Allegiance Rockets on Monday
Casa Carrillo has released full details on the second cigar in its 2026 Pledge of Allegiance series, a 6 3/8 by 58 figurado called Rockets. It is the fourth year the company has issued a Pledge of Allegiance line and the second year a Rockets size has been part of it. The 2025 Rockets was limited to 249 boxes of 10.
The 2026 Rockets was first shown at the Premium Cigar Association trade show in April. Casa Carrillo will begin shipping it to select retailers on Monday, Sept. 28. Production is limited to 250 humidors, a figure chosen to mark the country’s 250th anniversary. Each humidor holds 20 cigars, 10 of each of two blends. The suggested retail price is $1,000 per humidor, or $50 per cigar. Both blends use only American grown tobacco.
One blend uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, a Pennsylvania binder and filler from Pennsylvania and Connecticut. Casa Carrillo describes that cigar as full bodied. The other uses a Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper, a Connecticut Havana binder and filler from Pennsylvania and Connecticut. One of the two cigars carries a red band at the foot.
Rockets follows the Pledge of Allegiance Toro, a 6 by 54 that shipped to select retailers in June. That cigar uses a Connecticut Habano wrapper, an Ecuadorian Connecticut binder and Nicaraguan filler from Condega, Jalapa, ASP and Estelí. It is limited to 1,776 numbered boxes of 10 and priced at $22 per cigar. The 1,776 figure marks the year of American independence.
Ernesto Perez Carrillo, founder of Casa Carrillo, said of the Rockets release: “Pledge of Allegiance has always been about the journey to America and the opportunities that this country represents. For the 250th anniversary, I wanted to create something that was truly American from the tobacco to the story behind it. Using American grown tobaccos in two very different blends allows us to celebrate that spirit in a way that is meaningful to me and to the Perez Carrillo family.
”Both cigars are made at the Casa Carrillo factory in the Dominican Republic and will be allocated to select premium retailers in limited quantities.
