Aladino 85 Aniversario Reserva Elegante Ships Week of November 9

JRE Tobacco Co. is set to begin shipping the Aladino 85 Aniversario Reserva Elegante during the week of November 9. The new size is a 7 x 38 lancero priced at $22 per cigar, or $440 for a box of 20. It is the third vitola in the 85 Aniversario Reserva line, which debuted last year as a belated birthday cigar for company founder Julio R. Eiroa.

The blend is an all Honduran pinareño puro, with pinareño wrapper, binder and filler. The cigars are made at Fábrica de Puros Aladino at Las Lomas Jamastran in Honduras. Eiroa wanted the line to showcase pinareño seed, a Cuban origin leaf that arrived in Central America around the same time as corojo but later fell out of favor because corojo offered better disease resistance and higher yields.

Distribution will be tight. The Elegante will go only to Aladino Reserva accounts that already carry both the 85 Aniversario Reserva Robusto and Toro, and each of those stores is limited to two boxes per month. JRE showed the lancero at the 2026 PCA Convention and Trade Show and describes it as ongoing production in limited quantities.

According to reporting from Halfwheel, both JRE Tobacco Co., which Eiroa owns with his son Justo, and CLE Cigar Co., owned by his son Christian, have recently released cigars that use pinareño seed tobacco.

This reporting is based on information originally published by Halfwheel.\
