Wild Hunter Natural
Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. is a Honduran maker based in Danlí. Valladares is best known for Leaf by Oscar and for growing and rolling tobacco in Honduras, including leaf from his own farms.Wild Hunter arrived at the 2019 IPCPR show in Las Vegas and began shipping that July as regular production. The line was built as a Honduran puro for smokers who also spend time outdoors. Packaging follows that idea with camouflage boxes and bands.
Wild Hunter Natural uses a Copán region natural wrapper over a Honduran binder and filler from Valladares farms, including La Entrada a Copán and El Paraíso. It is offered in one size, a 6 x 52 toro, packed 20 cigars to a box. A darker oscuro version launched beside it.

Review
First Third
Earthy notes and some pepper on the light. Some cedar and salty savory notes come out as well. Earthy and savory nodes continue, while a graham cracker comes out ever so slightly. you still getting some cedar and pepper on the finish. Sort of a general earthy note with cedar light Espresso, and pepper. A slight cherry note is coming out with the cedar and earthy pepper notes. Still some cedar and coffee with light pepper and a Tang on the finish.
Second Third
The second third the tanginess is coming out more in finish, still very light of espresso with light white pepper on the finish. Pepper note is coming out that is more like a jalapeno pepper note than a black or white pepper note. Coffee note is becoming stronger in the second third, the earthiness with pepper has mainly taken over. Espresso and Earth on the finish. Just had a very slight molasses Ginger cookie note come out, very fleeting, with coffee and Earth on the finish. Tang is continuing through the second third, different earthy and peppery notes are coming out now and then, nothing very attention grabbing. Quick flash of cinnamon and then back to the earthy cedar with pepper and coffee on the finish.
Final Third
Getting into the final third coffee note or espresso notice coming out more, still with a good amount of Tang and Earth and a slight bitterness coming out on the finish. Still sort of unremarkable merthy in coffee note on the finish, just had a big rush of pepper and the retro. Espresso and pepper on the finish. The general pepper notice back, as well as pepper on the retro and finish. There's still a slight espresso quality but very faint. Slight nutty note on the finish as well which is a nice change to the constant Earth and coffee. The ginger molasses cookie from earlier is actually oatmeal cookie. It took me awhile to recognize it, but it is only come up maybe two times in the entire smoking experience. Experience. While an enjoyable and unique note, I wish there were more of it. Oatmeal cookie note is continuing which is a nice change to everything up until now, I hope it continues through the final third. The final third is becoming the most enjoyable part of this cigar, now that the cinnamon oatmeal raisin cookie note is staying pretty consistent, not sweet but definitely there. The earthy tangy notes are still coming out. Very strong, but with a light oatmeal raisin cookie note on the finish, wish it was stronger, or a little bit of sweetness but it is what it is.
