Joya De Nicaragua Joya Silver
Joya de Nicaragua is Nicaragua’s oldest premium cigar factory, founded in Estelí in 1968. In the mid-2010s it created the Joya series as a more contemporary counterpart to its traditional lines: Joya Red arrived in 2014 as a Nicaraguan puro, and Joya Black followed in 2016 with the company’s first Mexican San Andrés wrapper. Joya Silver was added in 2018 during the brand’s 50th anniversary year, using an Ecuadorian oscuro wrapper over a Mexican binder and Nicaraguan fillers, in four box-pressed sizes.

Review
First Third
Darky cherry, pepper, cedar and black coffee on the light. Pepper and cedar on the retro. Black coffee and pepper on the finish. Strong leather note coming out next, with cedar and black coffee on the finish. Leather, cedar, and some small dark chocolate notes come thru, coffee and pepper still on the finish. Dark cherry note coming out again on the palate and retro, one my personal favorite notes. Slight sweetness on the finish. Cherry and cedar coming out more now. Cedar coffee leather and some other spices are coming through, with the occasional Cherry note. Still black coffee on the finish as I get to the end of the first. Third, the ash is holding on strong. Beautiful wrapper, even burn line and great construction so far.
Second Third
Leather and pepper, with a slight creamy note coming through in the second third. Slight vanilla cream note was added to the finish along with a nutty coffee note. Cherry and cedar are starting to come back as well. The pepper has died down some. And earthiness is added to the cherrion cedar, leather and coffee on the finish. Getting near the end of the second third cherry and cedar notes are coming out stronger now. At the end of the second third strong notes of coffee and cedar with a more muted. Cherry are coming through, with coffee, leather, and a slight pepper on the finish.
Final Third
Final third strong notes of leather and coffee. Cedar keeps coming through, the Cherry has died down. Cedar and a slight sweetness on the finish. Cedar and pepper continue, with a slight sweetness and pepper on the finish. The cedar is turned into more of a general Woody note, with some spices and pepper on the finish. Draw his Titan to some, but still great smoke output. Coffee has come back onto the finish with leather and pepper.
