Avowed The Vow 11.25 Grand Robusto
Avowed Cigars launched in February 2025 from the team behind Small Batch Cigar and Maxamar Ultimate Cigars, working with Klaas Kelner at Kelner Cigars S.A.S. in the Dominican Republic. It's a small run cigar company where each blend is treated as its own project. The Vow is the flagship line, made up of three sizes: the 6.29, the 7.05, and the 11.25. Every size is blended separately and named for the day that recipe was approved, a vow to release that exact cigar.
11.25 references November 25, 2024, the day this Grand Robusto (5½ x 55) blend was finalized. It shipped in October 2025 as regular production, rounding out the Vow line as its third size at the time rather than a stretch of an older blend.

Review
First Third
Toasted woody notes with a slight sweetness on the start, very fragrant aroma reminiscent of a sandalwood cologne, very rich aroma. Slight chocolate note coming out with the toasted woody cedar notes, short clean finish. Slight sweetness continues, coffee and roasted nuts start to come out near the end of the first third. Coffee is a new note, finish still is very short and clean. Coffee, cedar and pepper continue, at the end of the first third the pepper is a little more pronounced than it was on the initial light. Smooth draw, even burn line, great construction. (Although a slightly ugly wrapper)
Second Third
In the second third, the sweetness is coming out more, the nuttiness is more present, and the sandalwood has gone from the aroma to arriving on the palate. It's a very interesting collection of notes, some familiar, some that are unusual but when put together create a great experience. Coffee and milk chocolate start to come out at the halfway point of the second third. Getting near the end of the second third, sweetness is still there, with a new floral note that's coming out with the cedar and sandalwood and light coffee notes on the finish. A dried fruit note has come out at the very end of the second third, and the sweetness and everything else makes for a very enjoyable experience. Sweetness still stays present, bringing all the notes together in a very enjoyable way. At the end of the second third, coffee is still consistent, with some chocolate and nutty notes as well.
Final Third
Final third, coffee is still very strong on the palate. Chocolate and nutty notes, with a slight pepper and coffee on the finish. Sandalwood continues while being more faint than in the second third, sweetness has picked up from the beginning and is a stronger note throughout the finish. Creating a sweet coffee effect, with chocolate and nuts on the finish. Toasted woody notes are coming back, with more pepper. The sweetness is still there but not as strong as before. Pepper and cedar on the finish, long finish. Stronger coffee notes on the palate and finish, sweetness is coming back slightly. More chocolate notes are coming out more prominently than they were before, slight savoriness with the sweetness on the finish.
